The Bishop of Hexham and Newcastle, the Right Reverend Seamus Cunningham, will be at St Cecilia and St Patrick's Catholic Church, Ryhope Road, on Saturday to celebrate Mass at 6pm. This is the Bishop's official visitation to the parish. Mass times at Catholic churches in Sunderland are in the process of changing and at St Cecilia's the regular weekend Mass has reverted to a Saturday evening vigil service from previous Sunday morning.
St Michael councillors Michael Dixon, Robert Oliver and Peter Wood will hold their next ward surgery on Wednesday, December 14, at Stockton Road United Reformed Church, Belvedere Road/Stockton Road junction, from 10am to 11am.
Thornholme Residents’ Association will hold its next meeting on Monday, December 19, at Ashbrooke Sports Club, beginning at 6pm, with the added attraction of coffee and mince pies.
