Hide AdThe parishioners of St Cecilia’s Catholic Church, Ryhope Road, will be celebrating the Church’s Diamond Jubilee on Monday, February 27. The Bishop of Hexham and Newcastle, the Right Reverend Seamus Cunningham, will lead the concelebrated Mass at 7pm and at which he will be joined by the current parish priest, Father Marc Lyden-Smith, and former priests of the parish. Mass will be followed by a celebration in the parish hall which will include wine, a special cake and parish memorabilia. All are welcome.
St Michael’s Residents’ Association will meet on Wednesday, February 22, from 6.30pm at Auckland Homes, Hill View Road. The local police officer and councillors will be in attendance, along with Susan Ferguson, from Blue Watch, who will talk about Community Clean-Ups in St Michael’s. Ward resident are welcome.
Northumbria Police will hold its latest PACT meeting on Tuesday, February 28, at Auckland Homes, Hill View Road, at 6pm.
Thornholme Residents’ Association will meet on Tuesday, February 28, at Ashbrooke Sports Club, at 6pm. The local police officer and ward councillors will be in attendance.

Hide AdThe next soup lunch at St Nicholas Church, Queen Alexandra Road, will be on Saturday, February 25, at the Haver Hall at 12.30pm. The cost is £3 which includes a choice of soup, bread, homemade cake and tea or coffee. Everyone is welcome.
