Fuming over cash claims

I am still fuming after learning that Sunderland councillors claimed almost Â£250,000 more in expenses than Newcastle councillors did in just a year.

The big question is: “how many years has this been going on?”

As a visitor to Newcastle, I can see that the council has spent money wisely.

There is no way that our councillors should be paid more than theirs. Some would say quite the reverse.

The Labour councillors and mayor should be made to pay all of this money back.

This money belongs to the council taxpayers and the city.

I think that there should be a demonstration to get them to pay it back!
