Sunderland Philatelic Society will meet in the hall of Roker Methodist Church, on the corner of Roker Park Road and Lonsdale Road, tomorrow at 7pm. Speaker will be Mr T Walker on British Navy WWI. For further information call Fred Greener on 3852196.

Spring coffee morning will be at Seaburn Dene New Church, Shields Road, on Saturday, March 19, from 10.30am-11.30am. Stalls will include £1 gifts, cakes, marmalade and ginger cordial, handmade cards and raffle. The cafe will be open from 10.30am for drinks and biscuits.

Marske Fishermen’s Choir were in good voice at the Watch House last week. Everyone enjoyed the evening of popular and amusing songs. Alderman Greenfield was present, he thanked the choir and the Volunteer Life Brigade for all the work they do.

Fulwell WI will hold an Irish Night on Friday, March 18, in the Blue Bell, Fulwell, 7.30pm. There will be a pie and peas supper with entertainment by the Canny Folk Band. Tickets are £5 from Pam Davies on 07920427982

Wearside Field Club will meet tonight at 7.30pm in Fulwell Community Centre, for its AGM. It will be followed by a change of speaker, Stuart Miller on Two Against Hitler. Bookings will be taken for the April walk, Whitby and Goathland. The next walk will be on Saturday, March 19, at Prudhoe led by Allan and Norma Major. Meet at Newcastle Central Station at 10am.

All Saints’ Mothers’ Union will meet in the vestry meeting room at All Saints’ Church on Monday, March 14, at 2pm. Speaker will be Joyce Goodfellow.

Fulwell Neighbourhood Watch meeting will take place on Thursday at 6pm in Fulwell Community Centre, Chapman Street.

A coffee morning will be held Fulwell Methodist Church on Saturday from 10am-11.30am.

St Andrew’s coffee morning for St David’s Day was very successful with delicious Welsh griddle cakes and good company.

All Saints’ Ladies’ Fellowship meets in the vestry meeting room at All Saints’ Church, Fulwell Road, tomorrow at 7.45pm.

All Saints’ Church invite you to its monthly coffee morning in the vestry meeting Room on Saturday from 10am.

Fulwell ward surgery will be held in Fulwell Library, Dene Lane, on Saturday from 10.30am-11.30am when one of the ward councillors, Howe, or Francis, will be in attendance. Please note Councillor Beck will not be there.
