Fulwell, Roker and Seaburn - Down Your Way

There will be an Easter fundraising afternoon at Roker United Reformed Church, Sidecliff Road, on Saturday from 2pm'“4pm. There will be activities for children and various stalls. Admission is £1 to include tea, coffee and biscuits.

A St Patrick’s Day party will take place at Bede’s Bake House on Friday at 7pm. Tickets are £7.50, ring 5640431.

Redby Community Centre, Fulwell Road, is pleased to announce the re-opening of its parent and toddler group. It will be held in the centre every Monday from 9.30am–11am. For more details, phone 0191 5484515.

Roker United Reformed Church Fellowship will meet on Tuesday, March 22, at 2pm. There will be an Easter Meditation.

Fulwell WI meets tonight in Fulwell Community Centre, Chapman Street, at 7.15pm. Speaker David Grainger will give a talk entitled Syria Before the Storm. There will be anEaster egg competition.

A spring coffee morning will be held at Seaburn Dene New Church, Shields Road, on Saturday from 10.30am–11.30am. There will be a range of stalls including £1 gifts, cakes, marmalade and ginger cordial, handmade cards and raffle. The cafe will be open from 10.30am for drinks and biscuits. Everyone is very welcome.

Seaburn Men’s Probus Club will meet in Roker Methodist Church, at the junction of Lonsdale Road and Roker Park Road, tomorrow at 10am. New members would be welcome.

Fulwell WI is to hold an Irish Night on Friday at the Blue Bell, at 7.30pm. There will be a pie and peas supper with entertainment by the Canny Folk Band. Tickets are £5 from Pam Davies, ring 07920427982 or 5484764. Proceeds for Fulwell WI Community Allotments.

All Saints’ Ladies’ Fellowship meets in the Vestry meeting room at All Saints’ Church, Fulwell Road tomorrow at 7.45pm.
