Summer Activity in Fulwell Library tomorrow from 2pm to 3pm will be Concertina Crocodile Craft. All activities are free but children under the age of eight must be accompanied by an adult. For further information, contact Fulwell Library on 0191 5615260.

Nissan 30 Years On is the title of an exhibtion currently on at Monkwearmouth Station Museum. Photographer James Sebright and writer/audio artist Rachel Cochrane explore how Nissan has impacted on the lives of people in the region, to create a present-day snapshot of the effect of 30 years of Nissan in the North East. The display will run until November 6.

Fulwell Neighbourhood Watch and PACT meeting will take place on Thursday at 6pm in the Mill View Club, Station Road. There is usually a police presence. Ward councillors attend when possible. All are welcome

Roker Crafts meets from 1pm to 3pm in Roker Methodist Church hall. Each session is led by a member of the group. On Friday Kath P will lead the session with Fabric books needle cases. Take along a basic craft kit (pen, pencil, fine scissors and a cutting board) and any textured or otherwise interesting coloured papers. Ring 5495878 for more information.

Redby Community Centre has vacancies on some mornings and evenings. Anyone wishing to start a group, ring 5484515 or call in and ask for Norma. The summer holiday club started on Monday, July 25, for children aged four to 11. This club will be on every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for four weeks. A Fulwell ward surgery will be held in Fulwell Library, Dene Lane, on Saturday from 10.30am to 11.30am when ward Councillor Howe or Councillor Francis and Councillor Beck will be in attendance.

Sainsbury’s Fulwell raised nearly £4,300 for Pawz for Thought last year’s charity of the year. They would like to thank Pawz for Thought and customers for all their hard work raising that amount of money. This year’s charity has been chosen which is Sunderland Carer Centres (young carers).

Sunderland North Business Centre runs free play sessions for children aged eight to 10. Sessions are held at the Seaburn Centre on Fridays from 4pm to 5.30pm. Sessions are also held for young people aged 11 to 19 at the Seaburn Centre on Wednesdays from 7pm to 9pm. Other sessions for 11 to 19-year-olds at Monkwearmouth Academy on Mondays and Thursdays from 6pm to 8pm.

A tea dance is held in the Seaburn Centre on Thursdays from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. Sessions include modern and sequence dancing with Jean and Johnny.

During the summer months Sunderland Volunteer Life Brigade Watch House Museum will be open every Sunday from noon to 4pm and admission is free. For further information, visit www.sunderlandvlb.com.
