Fulwell, Roker and Seaburn - Down Your Way

Christmas fair will be held at St Peter's Church, Monkwearmouth, on Saturday from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Entrance is £2.50, children free, price includes mulled wine, mince pie and raffle.

Fulwell WI will meet tonight in Fulwell Community Centre, Chapman Street, at 7.15pm. Norman Kirtlan will talk about Mary Bell –When Children Kill. The table-top will be unwanted Christmas decorations.

Roker Flower Club will have a special Christmas demonstration at Roker Methodist Church hall on Friday by Mildred Stafford at 2.15pm. Tickets are £5 for non members available from club secretary on 0191 5293026 or club treasurer on 0191 5295463.

Roker United Reformed Church Fellowship will meet on Tuesday, November 22, at 2pm. Speaker will be Sheila Michinson on St Andrew’s Day – tartan to be worn.

Seaburn (Men’s) Probus Club meets in Roker Methodist Church, at the junction of Lonsdale Road and Roker Park Road, tomorrow at 10am

Digital Camera Club meets at the Bedehive in the Bakehouse, St Peter’s Church, Monkwearmouth, on Mondays from 7pm to 9pm. Beginners to experienced photographers are welcome. Weekly membership is £2.

Monkwearmouth Drama Group will be performing the pantomime Dick Whittington on Saturday and Sunday at 2.30pm and on Monday at 7.15pm in St Andrew’s Church Hall, Roker. Tickets are £6 for adults and £4 for children, available from St Andrew’s Church or by emailing [email protected]. You can also pay at the door.

There are places available for girls to join St Andrew’s Rainbows, age five to seven, at St Andrew’s Church, Roker. Ring Ann on 0191 5485315 for details.

Ballroom dancing has re-started at the Naval Club in Roker Avenue on Wednesdays at 8pm. Entrance fee is £1.50. All are welcome.

A Fulwell ward surgery will be held in Fulwell Library, Dene Lane, on Saturday from 10.30am to 11.30am when ward Councillor Francis will be in attendance.
