Footage shows impact of fire at car show room in Hetton
The footage, which was taken on the morning after the blaze, shows the damage to six cars which were completely destroyed by flames, with partial damage to a seventh.

Hide AdTyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Services were called to the blaze at Durham Cars 4U on Station Road in Hetton-le-Hole, after receiving a call from the police at 11.16pm on Saturday, December 14.

Two fire engines attended the scene and the fire was put out by 11.44pm. A third fire engine was initially on its way to the incident, but it was not not used and returned to the station.
Residents gathered in the street to watch as the late night fire took hold at the locked premises, which are next door to the Hetton Social Club.

Hide AdThe flames reached up to several feet high at times, with thick plumes of smoke filling the area before the fire was brought under control by fire fighters.
The fire broke out on the forecourt and firefighters used cutting equipment to get inside the property.
No injuries or damage to any other properties in the area have been reported as a result of the incident, and the inside of the car show room appears to be unscathed.
