Fire crews tackle Sunderland flat blaze

Firefighters were called to tackle a blaze at a Sunderland flat.

Flat fire in Sunderland's Brady Street.

Crews were called to the property in Brady Street where the blaze broke out at 7.53pm tonight.

The blaze was extinguished quickly, but police and firefighters were on the scene for almost two hours.

A spokeswoman for Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Brigade, said: "It was thought someone might have been in the building, but all persons are accounted for."
