Fire crews called to 'suspicious' car blaze in Roker

A fire crew from Sunderland Central put out a suspicious car blaze on Bright Street in Roker last night.

Crews were called to a Peugeot 207 on fire at 11pm last night that they believe was driven there and deliberately set on fire.

Fire fighters used one hose reel jet to put out the fire and left the scene at 11.45pm.

Police are investigating.
