Experts can help new businesses to flourish


East Durham Business Service (EDBS) has already supported hundreds of people into business.
Now, as statistics show more people than ever before are pursuing a path into self-employment, EDBS is calling on people to speak to its exerienced advisors to see what support is available to them.

Hide AdOperations Director Denise Fielding said: “We know there are people out there who have an idea they think could work, or those with a genuine desire to give self employment a try. But often they don’t know where to start or what help they could get to turn their dream into a reality.
“It’s also important to stress that while our focus is on new starts, we can also help people who have recently launched a business.”
Emma Summerill, 37, launched Emma Isabella Floral Design, three years ago and it is flourishing in York Road in Peterlee.
Emma said: “Becoming self-employed was definitely the best thing I ever did.”
East Durham Business Service has flexible office space at its centres at Peterlee and Seaham, and has access to support programmes.
