England World Cup hero Jordan Pickford gets personal parking space at supermarket
As the Official Supermarket of the England Football Team, Lidl today has announced that stores up and down the country will celebrate the squad’s achievements and has unveiled 'reserved' car parking spaces at their local stores to commemorate the team’s efforts in Russia 2018.

Hide AdThe Lidl store in Wrekenton, High Street, has today installed a reserved parking space for goalkeeper Pickford, who is from the Fatfield area of Washington.
The former Sunderland stopper, who now plays for Everton, played in all seven of England's World Cup games in Russia.
He hit the headlines after his save in England's penalty shootout win over Colombia saw the team progress to the quarter-finals.

Hide AdThe Three Lions were eventually knocked out of the tournament at the semi-final stage by Croatia, who went on to lose the final 4-2 to France on Sunday.
Other spaces have been unveiled today with manager Gareth Southgate having one on his hometown Crawley, striker Harry Kane being given one in Chingford, and defender Kieran Trippier getting a space in his honour in Bury.

Lidl’s ‘Dream Big with Lidl’ campaign, which has run this summer, brings together the supermarket’s backing of the England team and Lidl’s grassroots initiative ‘FA Lidl Skills’, which the company says has created three million opportunities for 5-11-year-olds to play football over the last three years.
