Emergency services have been on the scene of a two-vehicle collision in Sunderland.

The incident happened at about 3pm on the A183 Chester Road, near the junction with Greenwood Road, in the Grindon area of the city.

It appears that one of the cars went through a barrier and came to a stop on a grassed area.

Police attended the scene, but traffic continued to flow freely in the area.
