Elderly man suffers 'significant injuries' after dog attack in Washington

The man and his wife were walking their dog on the riverbank at the back of the Wetlands Centre around 2.30pm on Wednesday, April 23, when three dogs who were not on leads ran towards them and bit the elderly man a number of times on his legs.

A man and woman were with the three dogs and used racially abusive and threatening behaviour towards the man and his wife.

Police are appealing for information following the attack and are keen to identify the couple.

The man is described as white, 26-years-old, 5ft 10 inches tall, slim build with short black hair and a slim tattoo down the left hand side of his neck.

The woman is described as white, 22-years-old, average build, 5ft 4 inches tall. Both were pushing bikes and appeared to be intoxicated.

It's believed one of the dogs involved in the attack may have been called 'Buster'. Officers are carrying out enquiries and are appealing for witnesses.
