Echo helps reunite little Lilly with lost phone


The youngster had lost the iPhone during a trip to Seaburn beach, yesterday.
The eight-year-old from Sunderland was left devastated as the phone contained images of her friends.

Hide AdIn an attempt to try and find it, her mum Wendy asked the Sunderland Echo to post an appeal on its Facebook page.
And within minutes of it being made live, someone called Davie Bates said he had found it.
The phone has now been handed back to the an overjoyed Lily.
Her mum said: “I’d just like to say thank you and it proves how honest people from Sunderland are.
“Lilly gave him a bottle of wine to say thanks.
