Durham - Down Your Way

On Sunday, February 21, seven students from Belmont Karate Club took part in the Northern Karate Association Competition. All students did really well in the competition.

Jane Clark, the karate instructor, is very proud of all her students who all did really well. Jessica Short, seven, received a special medal for entering. Meera Young, eight, won fourth place in kata, Karina Punshon, 10, also received a special medal andSophia Young, six, was first in kumite and third place in kata. Jasmine Henderson, seven, gained third place in kata and third place in kumite and Jessica Henderson, five, won first place in kata and first place in kumite. Adam Elliott, eight, received a special medal for entering. Belmont Karate Club meets on a Wednesday from 7pm to 8pm and on a Friday from 6pm to 7pm.
