A home win over Esh Winning was followed up with an away win at Dawdon, accumulating 54 points in the process.

They remain unchanged and travel to Hylton, who remain languished in bottom place after losing both their games last weekend.

Castle Eden welcome back Robert McGlasham and Liam Brown to the team, but are without Dean Langridge and Keith Bailey y when they entertain Dawdon.

The visitors have no injury worries and are at full strength and Steven Gale, the prolific batsman and the club skipper said: “We are all chipping in with performances, with no-one having outstanding performances this year, but we have a good team ethic and are looking forward to the game.”

Bill Quay, the other team in serious relegation trouble, are at leaders Burnopfield, so it doesn’t get any easier for them. In come Michael Orridge and Chris Malley, with David Robson and Dan Clayton returning to the second team.

Crook Town are in freefall after losing to Castle Eden and Burnopfield respectively last weekend and are only just above the relegation spot.

They travel to Easington who beat Hylton and Seaham Park respectively last weekend, to move into the top three.

Horden entertain Philadelphia, with Liam Irvine and Ben Green back to strengthen their line up, but Matty Billiard (broken ankle) and Connor Dickinson who is still away, don’t play.

Burnopfield go marching on and, although their match at Esh Winning was abandoned last Saturday, they stayed on course for the title, with a three wicket win on Sunday, against Crook Town.

In Division Two, Littletown moved 15 points clear at the top, after claiming 51 points in their two wins last weekend against Marsden on Sunday and delivered their best performance of the season with a 30 point win over title rivals Evenwood on the Saturday.

Whiteleas & Harton are right on their tails and make the long journey to fifth-placed Evenwood, who are at full strength, whereby a tough encounter is expected.

Peterlee are now third, just three points behind Whiteleas and travel to Houghton.

Silksworth who entertain Marsden, had a win and a draw last week to improve their point’s total, but remain bottom, but are now just 19 points behind Boldon CA, who have not won since May 21. Boldon CA themselves, travel to leaders Littletown.
