Horden had to scrap all the way in a close-fought goalless semi-final against Hall Farm Glasshus.

But the Colliers squeezed through 9-8 in an epic penalty shoot-out.

Barney Robinson shone for Horden, with Callum Hope best for Glasshus.

In the other semi, Tunns pipped table-toppers Wheatley Hill WMC. Star man Kyle Middleton struck for Hill, but Michael Donohue and Luke McGill earned Tunns the spoils, with Dale Dunn starring.

Hylton Sports Club showed no mercy in a 14-0 demolition of Jarrow Reserves to reach the Mark Blake Memorial Trophy semi-finals.

Five-goal Luke Bell stole the show, backed by doubles from Paul McComb, Shae Quinn and Michael Kennedy. Kieran Stokoe, Matthew Mustard and Jack Curry also netted.

Horden Community Welfare sealed a semi spot on Wednesday, with Robert Taylor (3), Hayden Pace, Barney Dobinson, David Paul and Liam Appleby striking to sink West Auckland Tunns 7-2.

On Monday, Wheatley Hill WMC outgunned Seaton United 6-1 to move into the Washington Aged Peoples Trophy semi-finals.

Four-goal Ash Griffiths, Kyle Middleton and David Dinsdale notched.

In the league, fifth-top Hall Farm Glasshus edged a 1-0 midweek victory over Durham City Reserves.
