Durham Alliance Combination League: Hall Farm warm up in style for County Minor Cup semi-final

The Mark Blake Memorial Trophy dominated the weekend, with three quarter-final ties.

Hall Farm showed no mercy in an 8-0 rout of visitors Billingham, whose star man was James Patrick.

West Auckland Tunns edged through, beating Blackhill & Ebchester 1-0 at home.

Keeper Matthew Scott was outstanding for Blackhill, but he was beaten by Andrew Campion’s strike for the winner.

Steven Corner shone for Tunns.

Bishop Auckland Reserves also won by a single goal, knocking out leaders Durham City Reserves.

Liam Woodfine grabbed the vital strike to see off City, whose top performer was Philip Smith.

Dale Sadler was Bishop’s man of the match.

In the semi-finals, Hall Farm have been drawn at home to Wheatley Hill WMC, while Bishop Auckland Reserves entertain West Auckland Tunns.

The ties are scheduled for April 15.

Tomorrow, Hall Farm entertain Northern Alliance side Felling Magpies in the Minor Cup semi-final at Leyburn Grove (1.30pm kick-off).
