Doxford Park - Down Your Way

Imogen Lee represented Mill Hill after-school karate club in the recent NKA grading. Everyone who attended had a great day and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The Chapelgarth planning application is now available to view online at www.sunderland.gov.uk/online-applications. There is lots of information and you can add your comments up until March 23 (ref: 16/00388/HY4). The plan is to build 750 new homes.

Concerns are still being raised about the state of the path on Hall Farm Road and the turning into Knollside Close, near the new Aldi store. It is believed the delivery wagons continue to drive over the corner as they turn into the store.

Sacred Dragon Martial Arts Tae-Kwon-Do and kickboxing classes are held in Doxford Park Community Centre every Sunday from 4pm to 5.30pm for those aged five and over. There is also a class on Wednesdays for those aged 13 and over from 6pm and 7pm. For further information, contact Gordon on 07828230669.

A coffee morning is held on a Wednesday at 9.45am in the community association. Everybody is welcome.

Slimming World meets in Doxford Park Community Centre on a Tuesday at 7.30pm.

Zumba sessions are held on Mondays in the community centre at 8pm. All are welcome to go along. Dance sessions are suitable for all abilities.

Doxford Park Stay Healthy Group’s B Active N B Fit class with Diane is held every Thursday at 1pm in Doxford Park Community Centre Hall. Sessions cost £3 and include Zumba Gold, circuits, dance and movement. New members are welcome.
