Residents only have until December 5 to respond to the proposed boundary changes that will put Doxford into the Easington constituency. That means we will have Sunderland councillors but an Easington MP. There is another proposal that the Doxford ward should stay part of Sunderland and Birtley should move out. Many people think this is more sensible. You can put forward your views at the boundary commission website www.bce2018.org.uk. There is also a new Facebook pagewww.facebook.com/Dofordsaysno/ if you are against the Easington proposal.
