Double T20 setback rocks Durham Women
First up, Durham made 80-8 against Somerset, thanks largelt to Laura Ellison (22) and Laura Hockaday (14). Somerset were set 33 in eight overs after rain hit, and they eased home with two overs to spare.
Durham were all out for 69 against Worcestershire in 16.1 overs in the second match, with Ellison (29) and Hockaday (10) again top-scoring.

Hide AdSophie Jacobson and Hayley Falla both struck twice in the visitors’ reply, but Worcestershire won by four wickets with more than six overs spare.
Durham U17 Women were beaten by three wickets by Yorkshire in their County Championship A Division Group 1 clash.
Helen Fenby (50), Bethany Walker (21) and Alys Beadle (20) led Durham to 127 all out, but Yvonne Graves (39) and Evie Woodhead (32) steered Yorkshire home on 130-7, despite Fenby’s nine-over haul of 4-21.
Durham’s U15 Girls also lost to Yorkshire at Whickham.
Bailey Wanless and Rosie Grant grabbed three wickets apiece in Yorkshire’s 226-9 from 40 overs.
Wanless (40) was the only batter to reach double figures when Durham responded with 65 all out to go down by 161 runs.
