Double T20 defeat for Durham U15 Women

Durham U15 Women suffered two defeats in the ECB U15 County Championship T20 Group One yesterday.

Madeline Atkinson (19) and Erin Bunford (11) top-scored as Durham struggled to 55-8 against Yorkshire, who duly won by 10 wickets in 6.3 overs.

Then Durham succumbed by nine wickets to Lancashire.

Durham posted 88-6, led by Atkinson (27, with two fours) and Bailey Wanless (20, with two boundaries) as Zara Matthews plundered 4-18.

Hollie Forsyth took the only wicket to fall as Lancashire eased home in 12.3 overs, with Rebecca Duckworth 50 not out.

Durham U13 Girls lost by 121 runs to Lancashire in their ECB County League B Division match.

Olivia Storey and Ella Tomys both took three wickets as Lancashire made 166-9, with Jessica Woolston striking twice. Durham then struggled to 45 all out, with only Katy Barrett (21) reaching double figures.
