Don't forget service badge

Sunderland has an enviable reputation for sending its men and women to serve in the armed forces.

The Sunderland Armed Forces Network would like to invite all those who have served and not in receipt for their Veterans Badge to apply through us for it to be issued.

We have 26,500 known veterans in Sunderland and they should be recognized for their service. Network is inviting Veterans of all ages to apply for their Veterans Badge.

The criteria to receive a Veterans Badge is that you must have served in regular or reserved forces or be in receipt of a Armed Forces Widows or Widowers Pension.

It is immaterial how long you served or when you served or what age you are as everyone is classed as a Veteran upon discharge.

Applicants are asked to ring 0191 561 8888 or email [email protected] to make their application.
