The pup, who was unharmed, has now been safely reunited with her owner.

The Sunderland Coastguard said: “Arriving on scene we were able to locate the dog in the rock armour who had been secured by her owner using a rope. We assembled our rope rescue equipment and lowered one technician down to the rock armour who was able to successfully extract Molly the Spaniel, unharmed and reunite her with her owner.”
