Dilemma for Sunderland's Labour MPs

One question Julie Elliott and her two MP colleagues will be hoping to avoid being asked over the next few weeks of canvassing is their opinion of Jeremy Corbyn.

Despite being given ample opportunities none of them voted for Mr Corbyn as the Labour Party leader.

It is certainly asking the electorate to take a huge leap of faith to elect a man to run the county whom these local MPs do not trust to run their own party.

So as we consider the weeks ahead it will be interesting to hear what Julie Elliott has to say about the leader and also whether he features much (if at all) on her election literature.
