Did you see A19 accident?

Police are appealing for information after an accident on the A19 earlier this week.

A Renault Laguna hit crash barriers on the nearside verge on the A19 northbound carriageway just before the B181/ B1281 Castle Eden slip road around 11.50am on Wednesday.

The 24-year-old driver of the vehicle received minor injuries and was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees, where he was kept in overnight for observation.

Anyone with information regarding the collision or who witnessed it is asked to contact PC Neil Cooper from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 033560.
