Delays on Metro due to 'fault in service'

There are delays on the Metro system this morning due to a fault.

The Metro has tweeted to say that there are delays of 15 minutes between South Hylton in Sunderland and Pelaw.

Bosses have apologised to passengers.

Metro tweeted: "Apologies to passengers travelling in the Pelaw to South Hylton area.

"There is a delay of 15 minutes due to a fault with a service.

"We are sorry for the delay to service."
