Delays on Metro after train withdrawn from service

Metro passengers are facing delays after a train was withdrawn from service.

There is a gap of up to 15 minutes in the service between Heworth and South Shields.

A post by Metro on Twitter said: "We have a gap in the service of up to 15 mins to trains running between Heworth and South Shields due to a train being withdrawn."
