Delays after person hit by train on East Coast Main Line

A number of trains are delayed after a person was hit on the East Coast Mainline today.

The incident happened at about 9am at Potters Bar in Hertfordshire

Virgin Trains tweeted: "A person has been struck by a train at#PottersBar. All trains in and out of King's Cross may be delayed. More info when known."

Many trains travelling between London King Cross and stations in Scotland are now delayed.
