Deadly Washington Snooker teach Biddick a valuable lesson

Washington Snooker A cruised to a 4-1 win when they took on Biddick B in Division One of the Danby Autos Sunderland Snooker League.

Jay Dewar and Stephen Thompson puts Washington in control.

Norman Leslie increased the lead before Gavin Dixon beat Craig Bell 52-40.

In the pairs, a 38-break by Biddick’s Peter Mills, when paired with John Temple, helped dominate the frame for a consolation point.

Glendale took the first two frames away to Biddick A, thanks to Liam Irving and Thomas Gwyn.

Steven Tate pulled one back before John Danby won the fourth frame.

In the pairs, David Adamson/Graham Smith won a close frame against John Danby/Paul Atkinson to reduce the defeat to 3-2.

South Hylton edged to a 3-2 win when they travelled to Green Baize.

The match between Steels and Lumley B was expected to be close and the singles alternated into a 2-2 situation before Lumley took the pairs for the overall 3-2 result.

Whitburn earned a hard-fought 3-2 win over a battling Washington Snooker B.

In Division Two, Mill View A hold a three points lead over second placed Pennywell after a 3-2 win at home to Seaham Conservatives.

Gordon Elliott won the first frame before Adam Burnell levelled.

John Burnell moved Mill View into the lead before Pater Davies won the fourth frame.

Gordon Elliott/Robert Cougle potted well in the pairs to beat Kevin/Dan Alderson 51-32 to reduce the deficit.

Pennywell Comrade’s good form continued with an excellent 4-1 win at home to Railway.

Lumley A also won 4-1 when they defeated The Victory.

Mill View B had a good 4-1 win away at Murton Officials with only the pair’s frame escaping them.

Gary Stockton got Murton Colliery off to an excellent start away at Cheemas, but Aaron Duncan levelled.

Lee Campion moved Cheemas into the lead before Eddie Williamson once again levelled.

In the pairs, Lee Campion/Gurj Cheema beat Gary Stockton/Eddie Williamson for the 3-2 win.
