David Moyes looks set to replace him in the dugout at the Stadium of Light, with the former Manchester United and Everton boss eager for a return to Premier League management.

Manx Mackem added: "I can't say that the potential appointment of Moyes excites me at all, but having said that, I dis say the same thing on Sam joining us, so what do I know!"
