Hide AdJudge Meek has now warned her it was time she stopped offending and that further criminality may see her jailed.
The South Shields court heard that Newton had had pressure put upon her to steal by another person.
Newton, of Westmorland Street, Wallsend, North Tyneside, who owes the court £1,300 from previous offending, pleaded guilty to shop theft and was ordered to pay a £21 victim surcharge.
There was no order for her to pay court costs.
