A woman has been arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly following a disturbance at a Sunderland pub.

Northumbria Police were called to Chaplins, in Stockton Road, Sunderland, to reports of a disturbance on this afternoon (Friday, July 24) shortly before 4.15pm.

A woman remains in police custody as inquiries take place.

A force spokesman said: “Officers attended and have arrested a woman on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly. She has been taken into custody and enquiries are ongoing.”
