Woman arrested after man is stabbed in leg in Seaham

A woman has been arrested in connection with a disturbance in a seafront property which left a man needing treatment for stab wounds to his leg.

Durham Constabulary officers responded to reports of a suspected assault at an address on North Terrace, Seaham, as the Bank Holiday weekend got under way.

A force spokesperson confirmed today, Tuesday, June 1: “A man in his 30s was treated at the scene with stab wound injuries to his leg.

"Officers arrested a 32-year-old woman on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent, she has since been released on bail.”

The incident happened at at 5.40pm on, Friday, May 28.
