Two men arrested and four untaxed vehicles towed away after police raids
Two men have been arrested and four untaxed vehicles seized after police carried out a series of raids.
Durham Constabulary officers executed three magistrates’ search warrants in Easington, Blackhall and Horden yesterday, Wednesday, March 3.
In Bourne Street, Easington Colliery, a 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted theft from a motor vehicle.

In Warren Street, Horden, a 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted theft from a motor vehicle, theft from a shop, and making off without payment.
The address of the property in Blackhall has not been confirmed by police.

Hide AdFour untaxed vehicles were seized in connection with the offences, with inquiries ongoing.
Detective Sergeant Mark Garfoot said: “We’d like to reassure residents in these areas that we will always act on intelligence gathered through communities and investigation.
“I’d encourage anyone with information relating to criminal activity to have the confidence to get in touch with us.
“We won’t tolerate criminality, and we hope that this positive action demonstrates that.”
