Two drivers in hospital after collision closes County Durham road

Two drivers are in hospital after a collision in County Durham today.

Police are appealing for information following a two-vehicle collision on the A177 at Shincliffe this afternoon, Tuesday, October 3.

The incident involved a gold Peugeot 407 and a blue Ford Fiesta at around 4.10pm.

The road was closed and soth drivers have been taken to hospital where one of them is in a serious condition.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any dashcam footage, should call 101 quoting incident reference number 264 of November 3.
