Tour the new Morrisons supermarket at Dalton Park as it opens its doors for the first time today

Just over 300 new jobs have been created by the eagerly-awaited arrival of a new supermarket.

In anticipation of Morrisons opening for business at Dalton Park shopping centre, in Murton, on Thursday, November 26, we were granted a tour of the 30,000-sq-ft store so that we can bring you this photographic tour of what customers can look forward to.

Lucy Rose is among nearly 350 staff working at the store. Around 2,200 people applied for 301 new positions with another 47 transferring to the supermarket from elsewhere within the company.
