Three teenagers released as investigations continue into knife-point attempted robbery of quad bike

Three teenage boys have been released under investigation after an attempted robbery where a quad biker was threatened with a knife.

Durham Constabulary arrested the oldest boy at the scene, while the others were taken into custody following a search launched when they rode away on a motorbike.

The efforts over a wide area to track them down included the police helicopter, response officers and members of the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit (CDSOU) traffic team.

Today, Wednesday, April 29, the force said all three had been released under investigation as inquiries continued
