Three people in custody over attempted murder probe as man shot in early-hours attack

The victim of a shooting has been taken to hospital with serious injuries as Durham Police launch an attempted murder investigation.

Officers were called to reports that a man had been shot in Moutter Close, Horden, at about 1.45am on Sunday, December 8.

Durham Police confirmed on Sunday that a man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Two women are also in the force’s custody on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

DCI Stephen Thubron, of Durham Police, said in a statement: “I am appealing to anyone within this community who may have witnessed this incident or have any information to come forward and speak to us.”
