Theft, driving while banned, and threatening behaviour: The latest cases before magistrates' court

Callum Lee Michael Cairns, 24, of Runnymede Road, Sunderland, was jailed for eight weeks after he admitted driving whilst disqualified and without insurance. He was banned from driving for 24 months and told to pay a surcharge of £122.

Jade McArdle, 32, of Waterloo Walk, Washington, was given a 12-month conditional discharge after pleading guilty to theft. She was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £21 surcharge.

Glen Dinsdale, 32, of Sulgrave Road, Washington, admitted driving with excess alcohol. He was given a 12-month community order and told to pay £85 costs and a £90 surcharge. He was banned from driving for 23 months.

Matthew Alexander Taylor, 25, of Hendon Valley Court, Sunderland, was given a 12-month conditional discharge after pleading guilty to threatening behaviour. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £21 surcharge.

Jordan Donnell, 35, of Edmonton Square, Sunderland, pleaded guilty to drug driving, driving without insurance and failing to stop after an accident. He was given an 18-month community order and banned from driving for 28 months. He was also ordered to pay £180 costs and a £90 surcharge.

Christopher Coffey, 28, of Rotherfield Road, Sunderland, was fined £200 after he admitted driving with excess alcohol and driving without due care and attention. He was banned from driving for 14 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.

Martin Pace, 34, of Park Road, Sunderland, pleaded guilty to assault and failing to surrender to custody. He was given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £50 in compensation.

Victoria Ann Holland, 30, of Lichfield Road, Sunderland, was fined £450 after she admitted driving with excess alcohol. She was banned from driving for 15 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £45 surcharge.

Ian Freeman, 29, of Fountains Crescent, Houghton, pleaded guilty to harassment. He was fined £160 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge. He was also made subject of a restraining order.
