Theft, criminal damage and harassment: The latest cases heard in court round-up

The following cases were heard at Sunderland and South Tyneside Magistrates’ Courts:

Daniel Fletcher, 28, of Elizabeth Street, Sunderland was given a 12-month conditional discharge after admitting theft and harassment. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £21 surcharge.

Haley Ann Park, 39, of Hollinside Road, Sunderland, admitted a charge of criminal damage. She was given a 12-month community order and told to pay £85 costs and £36 compensation.

Jack Robert Collings 23, of Park Hall Apartments, Sunderland, was given a 12-month conditional discharge after admitting possession of cannabis. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £21 surcharge.

Marnie Kristina Jago, 29, of Felton Avenue, South Shields, was fined £40 for driving without insurance. She was told to pay costs of £100 and a £30 surcharge.

Peter John Pearce, 31, of Anderson Street, South Shields, was fined £85 after admitting a charge of criminal damage. He was told to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.

Stephen Thomas Prest, 47, of Lynthorpe, Sunderland, was jailed for eight weeks for driving whilst disqualified and with excess alcohol and without insurance. He was banned from driving for 36 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £122 surcharge.

Jordan Proctor, 26, of Carley Road, Sunderland, was fined £80 after admitting criminal damage. He was also made the subject of a 12-month restraining order and told to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.

Scott Hope Pollin 22, of Wenlock Road, South Shields, was fined £120 after pleading guilty to failing to comply with the notifications of a sexual offences order and failing to surrender to custody. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.

Michael William Thornton, 28, of Beach Road, South Shields, was fined £80 after admitting breaching a community order.

John Greenhow, 39, of Sherburn Grove, Houghton, was jailed for 12 weeks after admitting sending a message to someone he was not allowed to contact due to a restraining order. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £122 surcharge.

David Mason, 53, of Thornhill Gardens, Sunderland, was given an 18-month conditional discharge for harassment. He was ordered to pay £50 compensation, £100 costs and a £21 surcharge.

Gary Welsh, 41, of Rushford, Ryhope, was given a 12-month community order with 50 hours unpaid work after admitting breaching a restraining order. He was also told to pay a £90 surcharge.
