Teen admits causing death of grandmother while driving E-bike dangerously
A teenager has admitted causing the death of a grandmother who he knocked down while driving an e-bike dangerously.
Billy Stokoe is said to have been using a mobile phone while riding the electric motorbike which hit 86-year-old Gloria Stephenson on Burdon Road in Sunderland on May 16 last year.

At Newcastle Crown Court today the 19-year-old, of no fixed address pleaded guilty to causing death by driving an unregistered electric motorcycle dangerously.
During an earlier hearing he had admitted charges of causing death while driving with no licence and uninsured.
Stokoe will be sentenced on May 15 and has been granted bail in the meantime.
Judge Robert Adams imposed an interim driving ban and told Stokoe: "I am ordering a pre-sentence report but in doing so I give you no indication what the sentence will be, all options will be open to the court on the next occasion."
No further details were given to the court.
At an earlier magistrates court hearing prosecutor Chike Anieto said: "The defendant was driving an electric bike when he collided with Gloria Stephenson, an 86-year-old lady that was crossing the road on a pedestrian crossing.
"This collision was fatal and led to the death of this lady.
"The collision was captured on dashcam and shows the defendant did not slow down when the defendant collided with Mrs Stephenson.
"The defendant was speeding and holding his mobile phone."
