Sunderland sex attacker is jailed after raping woman

A sex attacker has been jailed after he was convicted of raping a woman.

Cameron Manson, from Sunderland, has been jailed at the High Court, in Glasgow, after he was convicted of rape at an earlier hearing.

Cameron Manson, 31, of Castleford Road, in the Hylton Castle area of Sunderland, was found guilty of the charge at the High Court, in Glasgow, last month and has returned to the same court to be sentenced.

Appearing before Lord John Douglas Fairley on Friday, February 12, he was jailed for five years for committing an offence contrary to section 1 of the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009.
