Skinnypigs founder Jonathan Hair says he has been touched by the messages of support he has received as he recovers from the terrifying ordeal.
The 38-year-old was awoken when he heard noises downstairs in his South Hylton home and was faced by three masked raiders armed with a machete, hammer and knives in his hallway.

He was attacked and ‘tortured’ by the raiders who threatened to cut off his toes, sliced his legs and fingers to the bone and held a knife to his throat.
And even attacked his two year old English Bull dogs Pork and Chop.
Now he’s offered a £3,000 reward for anyone who could provide information that leads to a conviction following the attack at the Lisa Avenue house on January 23.

“It’s upset me more that people who I thought were friends who haven’t checked in or asked if I’m ok.
“But the support from my family has been the best. The support from my Skinnypigs family too, they’ve been so lovely.”
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Three men, aged 37, 32 and 22 were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and have since been released under investigation.
