Lee Fairley, 31, of Redwood Grove, Silksworth, Sunderland, made the claim in an “electronic communication” sent to Northumbria Police on May 29.

He has been jailed for six weeks after South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court, in South Shields, deemed the offence “so serious” that “a non-custodial sentence cannot be justified”.
