Thoburn, who was given credit for his guilty pleas, was locked up for three months for each of the attacks by South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court.

The court also sentenced him to a 14-day concurrent jail term for the criminal damage, which will be served as part of the six-month overall sentence, and ordered him to pay £500 compensation.

A restraining order prevents him from contacting his victim either directly or indirectly.

This includes contact through social media.
