Stealing cosmetics, criminal damage and speeding: Some of the latest cases heard in our court round-up

Holly Jade Dolding, 22, of Highfield Road, Houghton, was fined £40 after admitting speeding. She was also ordered to pay £40 costs and a £30 surcharge and given three points.

Lee Johnathan Brannan, 26, of Reginald Street, Boldon Colliery, was fined £80 for a breach of the sexual offenders register by failing to notify a change of address. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.

Michael Edward Harris, 31, of Gartland Road, Sunderland, was fined £120 after a charge of theft was proved in his absence. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.

Suzanne Marie Innes, 31, of Maypole Close, Southwick, Sunderland, was given a six-month conditional discharge after admitting two charges of stealing cosmetics. She was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £21 surcharge.

Stephen Alderson, 49, of Kemble Square, Sunderland, was fined £600 after he admitted a charge of criminal damage. He was ordered to pay £500 in compensation, £85 costs and a surcharge of £60.

Jamie Anthony Brownlee, 31, of Milburn Street, Sunderland, was given a 12-month conditional discharge after he admitted a charge of theft. He was ordered to pay a surcharge of £21.

Waseem Shaukat Chaudry, 49, of St Vincent Street, South Shields, was given an absolute discharge after pleading guilty to a charge of possession of cannabis.

Joanne Rebecca Dixon, 40, of Millburn Street, Sunderland, pleaded guilty to theft and was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £21 surcharge.
