Speeding, no insurance, transporting controlled waste without a licence and other Sunderland court cases

The following cases from the Sunderland area were dealt with recently at magistrates’ court:

Defendants pleaded guilty unless otherwise stated:

Michael Fenwick, 23, of Greetlands Road, was fined £276 with six penalty points for driving without due care and attention.

Christopher Keith Hawyes, 41, of Brentford Square, was fined £68 with three penalty points for speeding.

Hayley Morran, 43, of Poplar Street, Chester-le-Street, was fined £68 with three penalty points for speeding.

Lee Allen, 29, of Elm Drive, Whitburn, was fined £660 and banned for a year after being convicted of using a vehicle without insurance.

Mark Farnsworth, 43, of Briar Lea, Shiney Row, was fined £200 with three penalty points for speeding and driving while using a mobile phone.

Lorraine Conlon, 34, of Dene Park, Castletown, was fined £302 for failure to provide a breath sample.

Liam Blackburn, 26, of Churchside Gardens, Easington Lane, was fined £180 after being convicted in his absence of transporting controlled waste without a licence.
