CCTV images issued after keys snatched from Sunderland home are used to steal car

These men could help police officers investigating an early hours break-in where keys were taken and used to steal a car.

Northumbria Police officers investigating the burglary in North Bridge Street in Sunderland have released the images of two men they would like to identify.

The burglary happened on Bank Holiday Monday, May 31, when a number of bank cards and a set of car keys were taken.

The offenders then used the keys to steal a red Suzuki parked outside.

A police spokesperson said: “An investigation has been ongoing ever since the incident and police have now identified two men who they would like to speak to in connection with the offence.

“They were seen in the area on the morning in question and could have information that can assist with the investigation.”
